Dr. Maria Kunstadter

Dr. Maria Kunstadter is a graduate of the UMKC School of Dentistry. Her professional affiliations include:

She is a founding member of the Academy of Laser Dentistry and founded the UMKC Dental Outreach Program which as provided dental care to countless people in third-world countries for 25 years. Dr. Kunstadter is also a registered dietitian and has lead medical missions to many parts of the world.

The Smile Salon was named a 2003 Greater Kansas City Small Business of the Year and received the 25 under 25 award from the Kansas City Small Business Monthly in 2004. She was a 2004 recipient of the “Women Who Mean Business” award.

Dr. Kunstadter has achieved the status of Invisalign Premier Provider for 2005, 2006, and 2007. In March 2008, she achieved the designation of Elite Premier Provider, which is awarded to only 1% of Invisalign providers in the world! Dr. Kunstadter was the first woman dentist to be awarded this honor.

Be prepared to tell Dr. Kunstadter your life history! Cotton rolls and other dental instruments never dissuade her from having a great conversation with our guests! If you really want to get on her good side, bring chocolate, preferably dark.

Dr. Sigler’s emphasis is treating our patients who need implants and treatment for sleep apnea. Believe it or not, Dr. Sigler and Dr. Kunstadter are married and the parents of four children, a feisty little cat and a one-eyed dog, affectionately known as Capt. Ron.

Dr. Sigler loves sailing and playing tennis. The entire family has traveled to South America on multiple occasions to provide dental care.
